The Sandakan people are proud of this fish. everywhere i go in sandakan, my host confirm will order this fish, they say kl cannot find but anyway i tried to variation to this fish. the first is the bakuteh lai mang and the second on this picture, sweet n sour sauce lai mang.
mebbe my tongue or taste a bit weird because i honestly din find anything super extra special about this fish. yeah, the texture and taste is good but nothing super special. but if u go sandakan, make sure u try this fish, it is just like u go penang to eat asam laksa or ckt.
